It's 1520 AD and the Inquisition is on the hunt for Jews hiding in Spain while the Guardian try to save them. The year is 1520AD or so and Isabella Ordez’s father leaves to fight off the Ottomans who are trying to take the Balearic Islands. While he is gone Isabella falls in love with the new neighbor’s son, Judas Holeburn. Soon both of their families know that the two are in love. The only problem is that Isabella has decided to be a Jew like her most family is but to live in Spain she must pretend to be a Christian. This makes their love dangerous since a Jew can’t marry a Christian. A Jews also can’t pretend to be a Christian or else they face the chance of being burned at the stake by the Inquisition. Isabella tells Judas she’s a Jew in hiding but he doesn’t care. “Love conquers all” he says. Soon though the Inquisition moves into the town and begins to hunt down hiding Jews as another group called the Guardian tries to save the Jews. Isabella fears she may lose everyone that she loves; even her Judas.
